Come to the first of four seasonal plant walks at Scout Cafe! Jo

in us with a warm drink in your hands as we enjoy the winter sun and appreciate plants together.

Winter is for seeing ivy. English ivy is a beautiful and deadly plant. Let’s learn about it and work together to de-vine some nearby trees. After meeting at Scout Cafe, we’ll walk through the neighborhood, looking at examples to better understand the plant. Then we’ll make our way to the Brandywine Park, where we’ll cut strangling vines off trees. Bring any tools you have (work gloves, hand saws, loppers, pruners, chisels) … or just come for the fun & learning!

9:30 am – Meet at Scout
9:45 am – Walk to the Brandywine
10:00 -11:30 am – Cut vines
